Situation

The AT&T Performing Arts Center, a multi-venue performing arts center designed by notable architects Rem Koolhaus, Sir Norman Foster, and Joshua Prince-Ramus, and several local architecture firms, is the $350 million crown jewel of the Dallas Arts District.

Solution

SparkFarm helped open Dallas’ highly anticipated Arts District cornerstone with marketing strategy, brand positioning, PR, and media planning support. In the end, the campaign generated 1,200 local news stories supporting dozens of grand opening events and performers for varied audiences. A record number of 45,000 visitors attended opening day. Intangible wins included managing a major name change announcement weeks before opening and keeping peace between design teams. We were later hired to develop the Center’s crisis plan.
